Game Development​

Taking a step back from the modern version of 'gaming'; most people have played games in some form or another. Traditional pastimes such as chess, dice, and card games have been prevalent in humanity's history for centuries, emphasising our natural desire to strategize and problem-solve. Recognizing this, Shiba Inu Games decided that a competitive card game (CCG) would be the best way to create an accessible, enjoyable game for the entire ShibArmy, and pre-existing lovers of gaming.

As mentioned, our CCG takes a dual-pronged approach by being both a mobile application with in-app purchases available to anyone with access to a smart device, and an upcoming blockchain-based version that will be available on both mobile and PC. Using the beautiful assets and incredible work created by Volk and the PlaySide team, both versions will be similarly appealing in both visual and gameplay aspects. However, the blockchain version will incorporate itself directly into our ecosystem, intertwining our 10,000 Shiboshis to offer direct gameplay benefits, impact, and relevance, while also offering meaningful P2E opportunities for players.

Several playable prototypes were made available to some members of the Shiba Inu Games team and selected beta testers from the community, that were both impressive and heart-warming to experience. The launch was a massive success that vastly exceeded our expectations, now with 100,000+ downloads, and an average rating of 4.8 on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Shytoshi, Volk and PlaySide are to be commended on their success in creating a game that is welcoming and friendly to players from inside and outside the existing Shiba Inu community.

Though development work now shifts to the blockchain version, the mobile version will continue to see frequent updates, competitions, tournaments, and more!
